Background
Alanna's research seeks to explain the sociocognitive and behavioral mechanisms that underly perceptions of firms' ethical behaviors and how firms manage these perceptions through interactions with key stakeholders. Her research primarily focuses on crisis management, corporate social responsibility, market-entry, and competitive dynamics. Her research is anchored in sensemaking and sensegiving literature, stakeholder theory, and signaling theory. In addition, Alanna enjoys teaching strategic management, business ethics, international business, and entrepreneurship.
