As a Professor of Management at Clarion Univ. of Pennsylvania, I work on Leadership, Management, Human Resources, and International Business. My work has been published in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. I serve in several editorial boards and advise our SHRM Clarion student chapter, in addition to other department, college, university-level and professional committees. I am also Editor for Emerald's "Advanced Series in Management" and past Editor-in-Chief for the "Business Journal of Hispanic Research." My latest books (Emerald, with T. Bondarouk) are about Social Media and HR Management. I also wrote (with colleagues from nine different countries) "Successful Professional Women of the Americas" (Elgar), rated as "Highly Recommended" by "Choice" an ALA publication. My research deals with Management, Information Technologies, Human Resources, Gender, Hispanic organizations, Business Ethics, Christian/Catholic Social Thought, and Latin America. A Lifetime Member of Prospanica (formerly NSHMBA), I wrote a column that may be read freely at http://drolivaslujan.blogspot.com, for its monthly newsletter. I also served in SHRM's Global Expertise panel (2007-11) and in the International Standards Organization Technical Committee (ISO/TC 260) as part of the US Technical Advisory Group (US TAG, 2011-12). I also wrote for BusinessMinded.com. In 2014, I was elected Program Chair-Elect the Academy of Management's (AOM) Management Education and Development (MED) division, a 5-year leadership position. Other service positions include "Liaison to Practice" and to Mexico, in addition to GDO (Gender and Diversity), International Management (IM) Divisions, Practice Theme Committee (PTC), and International Theme Committee (ITC) since 1998. Along with Xhonané Olivas, I consult and write. I speak English, Spanish and French fluently; some Italian, Portuguese, German, Dutch, and Irish; love traveling and playing string instruments; am a 1st Dan Black Belt.
