Background
Monique Domingo is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor position in organizational behavior. Her research broadly focuses on how leadership is a system of behaviors that can help team and organizational effectiveness, especially in reaction and response to critical or disruptive events. Monique’s dissertation explores what leaders say and do in a crisis, and how such leader behaviors steer their collective followers’ reactions to impact their behaviors for crisis recovery. She has also examined how women leaders navigate backlash events, how subordinates react and respond to abusive supervision, and how leaders can shape the team context to promote team member psychological empowerment and performance. Monique’s work on teams has been published in the Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, Small Group Research, and the International Journal of Management Education. Prior to joining the University of Connecticut, Monique earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from San Francisco State University in the Spring of 2015.
