Pat is in her fourth year in the Accounting Ph.D. program at the University of Central Florida and is working under the advisement of Dr. Steven Sutton. She previously worked as an IT Manager for the Pricewaterhouse Coopers' (PwC) Risk Assurance department in San Juan, PR, managing Service Organization Controls (SOC) attestation engagements and IT audit. Pat grew up in Puerto Rico, where she obtained her BBA in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Ponce Campus. She later obtained her Master of Accountancy with an Information Systems and Controls track from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Her research interests include accounting information systems, cyber-security assurance and disclosures, and auditors' judgment and decision making.
