Martha Troncoza is PhD graduate from the Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University. She completed her MBA (finance) at Pepperdine University, undergraduate studies in psychology at California State University Northridge, and recently obtained a certification from Harvard’s business analytics program. Her research streams focus on consumer behavior and emotions in service gift giving, consumer vulnerability in captive services, and experiences. Other research includes business resilience during a disaster, sales, and data analytics. Martha has experience as an adjunct instructor for undergraduate and graduate topics in marketing including international marketing, principles of marketing, pricing, and marketing informatics. Spending some time in hospitality has provided practical experience and knowledge to contribute to academic research, especially having a role as Vice President in operations for a major cruise company. Martha currently lives between North Carolina and Los Angeles metro area. She mentors and works with improving the lives of marginalized youth as well as sitting on the board of a non-profit, Tourism Cares, that focuses on sustainability with major hospitality firms across the globe.
