Dr. Vakil earned his Ph.D. degree in Applied Statistics from the Fox Business School of Temple University in 1990. Dr. Vakil Holds an MBA degree in Finance from LaSalle University and an MS in Applied Statistics from the Fox Business School of Temple University. Prior to joining St. John’s University, Dr. Vakil taught at Bucknell University, Temple University, and Rutgers University. Dr. Vakil has a broad range of research interests. He has published over 15 scholarly articles in prominent statistical journals such as the Journal of Statistical Inference and Planning.
