I am a finance doctoral candidate at University of Houston. Prior to joining the PhD program, I worked in the finance industry for more than five years. I completed my bachelor's degree in computer science from University of Peradeniya and I am a CFA Charterholder. My research interests include household finance, real estate, and banking. In my job market paper, I use policy-induced variation in collateral value and rich auto loan micro data to estimate the causal effect of collateral value on strategic default.
