Dr. Cynthia D. Tollerson is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Morgan State University. She earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Houston and a MBA with an emphasis in finance and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Colorado. She has practiced as a certified public accountant and worked in accounting, finance, and strategic planning for Fortune 500 companies. Her research interests include corporate governance, decision-context frameworks, decision usefulness, financial disclosures, hybrid securities, investors, materiality, segment disclosures, surveys, sustainability, theory development, and theory testing. She has published in the International Journal of Accounting, Journal of Finance and Accounting, and the Journal of Management Policy and Practice.
